M14 has a 3 mil nominal dead soft aluminum foil backing combined with a transparent acrylic adhesive. Tape is laminated to a specially forumlated liner and can be die-cut to almost any shape or size. It's good as a maskant in electroplating of aluminum because it will not contaminate the bath.
